Position Title:General Operations Manager
Industry: Entertainment
Location: Nairobi
Salary: Ksh 150- 180 Net
Our client in the entertainment industry is looking to hire a qualified and
experience General Operations Manager.
Main objective - is to oversee and direct the operations of the business functions and
run daily operations to ensure the company meets its vision and general
management and operations goals based on the organization’s objectives.
Duties & Responsibilities
·
Oversee the management of all
operational functions of assigned including logistics, warehousing, Human
Resources, Customer relations, Administration, Finance, events, PR and
·
Provide leadership and vision to
the organization by assisting the Directors
with the
·
development of long range and
annual plans, and with the evaluation and
reporting of progress on plans.
·
Recommend, implement and enforce
policies and procedures for assigned areas of responsibility.
·
Maintain positive vendor
relations through professional courtesy in compliance with the company’s Code of Ethics
·
Implement and oversee Employee relations, Performance management and improvement
systems, Employment and compliance to regulatory concerns and reporting
·
Oversee organization of company logistics,
transportation, warehousing and delivery
·
Oversee and ensure high safety
standards at all times.
·
Direct production activities to
insure safety and compliance with quality control standards, regulatory
compliance, and lease agreements.
·
Determine staffing requirements,
and interview, hire and train new employees, or oversee those personnel
processes.
·
Plan and direct and coordinate
with other department heads as required.
·
Ensuring effective flow of
information and communication between the staff of all departments
Qualifications and Skills requirements
·
A business degree in management
·
A minimum of 5 yrs of experience
in senior management in the entertainment or service industry
·
Possess excellent business
management, planning and personnel management skills, including hiring,
supervision, evaluation and benefits administration.
·
Demonstrated ability to work in a
proactively diverse and inclusive organization.
·
Able to establish and maintain
effective work relationships with co workers
·
Strong interpersonal and
communication skills
·
Proficient in computer applications
excel, word, PowerPoint
·
Of high integrity
·
Excellent, proven interpersonal,
verbal and written communications skills.
·
Fast learner, mature, responsible
and dependable individual
·
Ability to manage and supervise a
staff team.
·
Effective problem – solving and
mediation skills.
·
Proven ability to cope with
conflict, stress and crisis situations.
